    Bang for the Buck

Posted by Christopher on 26th Oct 2021

After recently purchasing this carrier and taking the time to dial it in for my application, I am impressed with its construction and how my plates snuggly fit (Hesco L210s). I was able to use an existing placard I had and it worked seamlessly. The modularity it provides really allows you to trick it out to your specific needs. The velcro is also of good quality for what you pay, I mean look at the price this is a small invested to get into the arena. I would definitely recommend to others interested in a new carrier who also wants to support smaller companies not "tactical megastores"

    Good kit

I’m not sure what the main difference is between the one that’s $60 more but this is a good minimalistic carrier and it’s USA made. I really like the innovation of this company. The only negative thing is the clips seem a bit high for the normal placards to fit.

    Heck of a deal

I stumbled across WTF on Reddit while I had just dipped my toes into the pool of body armor. Let me just say that I went in blind and crashed a few times. Needless to say, I had two sets of plates for two rigs that didn't fit it, and decided to pick up the Carrier 13 for a measly $99 so that one set of plates would have a home. It was bare bones but the sizing chart was awesome to confirm which correct PC (10x12) I should get. Cummerbund is comfortable, and the magazine areas are great, though when they are really tucked into your armpit, it isn't comfortable, so perhaps run 20round mags there instead. I only use the first slot on both sides and have a placard carrying other mags. I'm running the Hesco L210 and 4401 "large" 10x12 plates along with the T-Rex Arms foam pads. L210s fit like a dream with the pads, and the 4401 are tight with the extra padding, however still fit with some effort. Probably worth getting the shoulder pads or sleeves for the shoulder straps. The exposed velcro isn't nice on raw neck skin. But otherwise it is a good back up rig, or first dive into plate carriers as you start learning things you want to have in a more expensive plate carrier. I got boring black, so I may have to spring for a camo version in the future.

    Not just for airsoft.

If you are thinking that this gear is just for airsoft, or looks like it's made of Chinesium. It's not. (Doesn't mean I don't use it for airsoft anyways though lol). It's not indestructible and isn't custom tailored but it's nice stuff.
