Tactile feedback immediately demonstrates that 4lb foam offers a higher perceived value over its 2lb counterpart. Higher density foam better spreads a load and exhibits less deformation. 4lb is superb for shoulder straps, a padded layer in backpacks, shoulder pads, and more.
